Curious about rope bondage but having trouble following books and videos? Get turned on by restraining another or being tied up?
Knotty New York is a rope bondage social specifically for gay men. Our focus is to create a safe and educational space to learn, practice, and network within the rope world making bondage more accessible and less intimidating.
All levels welcomed. Whether it’s your first time tying or have some experience. Those just looking to be tied are also welcomed.
Each meetup offers a chance to learn the basics or try something more advanced. Socials are twice a month and partners are not required as meeting other is encouraged.

Always Ask For Consent
Always ask to join play before touching anyone, interrupting, or intruding on others’ scenes.
No Is Enough
Accept & give refusals with grace. “No, thank you” is not an invitation to keep asking. Ask with the expectation that no is an acceptable answer.
Consent Is Not Permanent
Consent can be revoked at any time. If it stops being fun, don’t push it.
Respect Limits
Respect the limits of partners. Even when discussed beforehand, new limits are often discovered during play.
Words Above All
Even if you think someone else is into being touched by you, if they ask you to stop, respect it.
Consent For One
No one can give consent for another person without prior negotiation. Subs do not automatically defer their consent to their Dom during play.
Be Prepared
Always discuss medical considerations, and have ready access to safety shears in the event quick release is necessary.
Set Clear Expectations
Clearly communicate your level of experience, ability, and any risks that come with play that you engage in. This applies to all parties.
Play Sober
All attendees must remain sober throughout the event. This includes both alcohol and drugs.
Picture Please
Ask for consent before taking pictures, and be mindful to keep only consenting parties in frame.
Cover Up
We require that underwear stays on and no play involved penetration.
Speak Up
We rely on our community to keep each other safe. If you encounter any issues, let an instructor or a Knotty Daddy know so we may address the issue.
Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in responses up to and including blacklisting from Knotty NY.
